| What is RSS?
RSS stands for Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication and is used for delivering regularly changing web content. An RSS document, also known as a "feed", contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text.
Why use RSS?
RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with changing content on their favorite web sites in a manner that's easier than checking them manually. RSS allows users to save time by retrieving the latest content from the sites you are interested in without the need to visit each site individually.
How to read a RSS feed
RSS content can be read using software called an “RSS reader”, “feed reader” or “news aggregator. Users subscribe to RSS feeds by entering the feed’s link into a reader or by clicking an RSS icon in a browser which initiates the subscription process. The reader checks feeds and downloads updated content regularly.
