Where is Public Works and What Can I do There?

Oswego Avenue is a one block long street, accessed from Ritchie Avenue. Ritchie Avenue starts at Maple Avenue and crosses Piney branch Road. Use either Maple Avenue or Piney Branch Road to get to the Public Works facility.

Come to Public Works to do the following:

• pick up a recycling container - they are free
• purchase a 64 gallon or 96 gallon trash cart
• schedule and pay for a heavy pick up (you can also schedule by phone)
• get a permit application for tree removal, tree protection, new driveway apron, dumpster, storage pod, or fence in the right of way (also available at www.takomaparkmd.gov)
• pick up leaf mulch or schedule a delivery between March & October (you can also schedule by phone)
• drop off non working CFL bulbs
• drop off unwanted computer components or small electronic equipment
• drop-off used motor oil or antifreeze
