Holiday Collection Schedule

The City observes the following holidays:

New Years Day January 1
M.L.King's Birthday 3rd Monday in January
President's Day 3rd Monday in February
Memorial Day last Monday in May
Independence Day July 4
Labor Day 1st Monday in September
Veteran's Day November 11
Thanksgiving Day 4th Thursday in November
Friday after Thanksgiving 4th Friday in November
Christmas Day December 25

If a holiday occurs on Saturday, the City observes the holiday on Friday. If the holiday occurs on a Sunday, it is observed on Monday.

Collection routes are adjusted for the holidays to ensure that everyone receives a trash and recycling collection. Generally speaking:

If Monday is a holiday:

• Monday's recycling collection is on Tuesday;
• Monday yard trimmings collection is canceled.

If Tuesday is a holiday:

• Tuesday's trash and/or recycling collection is on Wednesday.

If Wednesday is a holiday:

• Wednesday's trash/recycling collection is on Thursday.

If Thursday is a holiday:

• Thursday's trash and/or recycling collection is on Friday.

If Friday is a holiday:

• Friday's trash and/or recycling collection is on Saturday

FOR THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY ONLY:

Thursday trash and recyclables will be collected on Wednesday & Friday trash and recyclables will be collected on Saturday
