City of Takoma Park Curbside Recycling

 Important Tips:

  • Place bottles, jars, and cans together in your recycling bin.
  • Bundle paper in a paper bag or tied with string before placing in your bin (this keeps it from blowing out of your bin or the truck).
  • Empty and rinse containers.
  • Plastic bags should be placed together inside a similar plastic bag; for example all newspaper bags should be put together inside another newspaper bag.
  • Close the loop: Buy products made from post-consumer recycled materials.
