Takoma Park Police Department Investigating Telephone Fraud Scam - Community Advisory

Detectives from the Takoma Park Police Department are investigating an incident involving a fraudulent telephone scam that has occurred within the City.

On April 7, 2014, at approximately 10:00 am, officers received information from a citizen who resides in the 100 block of Lee Avenue that he was the victim of a telephone scam/fraud scheme.

Vandalism to Auto - Community Advisory

On April 3, 2014, at approximately 8:46 am, Takoma Park Police responded to the 7400 block of Wildwood Drive for the report of a vandalism to auto. Sometime between April 2 at 9:18 pm and April 3 at 8:30 am, unknown suspect(s) smashed out the passenger side rear window of the victim's vehicle with a large rock that was left inside the vehicle. No property was taken.

Gang-Related Incidents Drastically Down in Takoma Park; Weekly Crime Report 3/28/14 – 4/3/14
