Car-Jacking; Armed Robbery - Community Advisory

On December 30, 2013, at approximately 8:20 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 100 block of Elm Avenue for report of a car-jacking and armed robbery. The victim was accosted by two suspects in front of her residence. The suspects demanded the victim's vehicle and property at gunpoint. The victim complied and the two suspects drove away in the victim's vehicle at a high rate of speed. Lookouts were given to all surrounding agencies. The stolen vehicle tag is #MD 61726CE and is a 2014 silver Subaru Forrester. The victim was not physically harmed.

Theft of Services - Community Advisory

On December 29, 2013, at approximately 9:11 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 7600 block of Maple Avenue for a report of a theft from services by a taxi service. The taxi service picked up the suspect and took him to his destination. When told how much the fare was, the suspect indicated he would get the money from his apartment and come back to pay. The suspect never returned to the taxi and his whereabouts were unknown.

Attempt Residential Burglary - Community Advisory

On December 27, 2013, at approximately 6:45 am, Takoma Park Police responded to the 7600 block of Maple Avenue (Park View Towers) for reports of an attempt burglary. Unknown suspect(s) attempted to enter the apartment by removing the door bell and damaging the bottom lock and dead bolt lock. Further damage was noticed on the door made by an unknown object. Entry was not made.

Vandalism - Community Advisory

On December 26, 2013, at approximately 6:17 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 7700 block of Greenwood Avenue for the report of a vandalism. Unknown suspect(s) damaged a large transformer owned by Pepco. Pepco was notified of the damages and indicated they would send a representative out to assess the damage.
