UPDATE Undetermined Death; Sligo Creek Parkway - Community Advisory

On August 1, 2014, at approximately 7:52 am, the Takoma Park Police Department responded to a call for a body found in Sligo Creek just north of the Carroll Avenue bridge.  The body was identified as a 20-year old Bowie man. The Medical Examiner determined the cause of death was severe head trauma consistent with a fall from the bridge. All evidence indicates that this matter was a suicide. In deference to the family, it is the policy of the Department that we do not release the name of the deceased.
