GET INVOLVED The residents of Takoma Park have joined together in many churches, neighborhood associations, civic groups, and arts organizations. We have concerts, exhibits, political crusades, dances, neighborhood parties, quilting bees, and volunteer action projects. We have large city-wide celebrations throughout the year. These include our Independence Day parade and fireworks, a street festival, folk festival, jazzfest and many other events which bring visitors from throughout the Washington area.
