SENIOR ACCOUNT CLERK
The City of Takoma Park is seeking an experienced accountant. Duties include the processing of payroll and related functions, supervision of subordinates, receivables, payables, account reconciliations, finance reporting, and other responsibilities of the Finance Department. Ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university with at least five years of related experience. The candidate should have knowledge of the principles and practices of governmental accounting, accounting systems, and payroll processing and the related payroll tax requirements. The candidate must exhibit team leadership and supervisory skills and be able to handle customers and sensitive situations. INSPECTOR
The City of Takoma Park is seeking a full-time Code Enforcement Inspector. The successful candidate will inspect properties, respond to complaints, interact with property owners, members of the community and elected officials, inform property owners of appropriate actions to be taken to comply with the requirements of the law, issue citations, testify in court, and conduct a variety of outreach and educational activities as directed. HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR
The City of Takoma Park, Maryland is seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to direct a wide range of human resources and risk management activities. More detail on the duties of the position can be found at takomaparkmd.gov/hrdirector.pdf.

Candidates should possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in human resources management, organizational development, public administration, or a related field; five to seven years of progressively responsible experience, preferably in a local government setting; or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Professional Human Resources certification would be a plus. The expected starting salary will be market competitive in the range of $90,000, depending on the experience and qualifications of the selected individual.
