Deputy City Manager Wayne Hobbs informed the City Council that the corrective repairs to the back section of the Maple Avenue parking lot had been completed and approved by the structural engineer. Certain issues arose regarding the front section of the lot; however, a solution had been identified. Work on the front section of the lot was expected to be completed on or around June 16th.
The Deputy City Manager advised the City Council that the fire inspection for Phase Two of the Community Center project was scheduled to take place on June 6th. Once the City had received a favorable fire inspection, TRG Construction would call for the building inspection, which was the final step in obtaining occupancy.
Deputy City Manager Hobbs updated the City Council on the geotechnical study for the proposed gymnasium construction. Completion of the study had been delayed due to staff turnover at the firm performing the study. The City expected to receive the final report in approximately two weeks.
