City Manager Matthews stated that the Grant Avenue entrance to the building would be closed as of Tuesday, April 11th due to construction activities in the lobby area outside of the Auditorium. The Auditorium would be unavailable for use from this date until May 8th. Various City meetings would be relocated as a result. The City Council meetings on April 17th, April 24th, and May 1st would be held at Takoma Park Middle School. Residents should contact the City Clerk's Office for the location of other meetings.
The City Manager added that the elevator would not be available during this period of construction. Police services would continue to be accessible from the front parking lot of the building. Persons with mobility difficulties who wish to pay bills, have passport services, etc. should come to the Police Department lobby. City staff wold then serve the patrons at that location.
