City Manager Matthews informed the City Council that a contract with ECS for subsurface exploration and geotechnical engineering analysis (i.e., soil borings) would be executed in the near future. From the time of contract authorization, the entire scope should take three to four weeks.
The City Manager advised the City Council that construction work in the lobby area outside of the auditorium was scheduled to take place from April 11th through May 5th. During this time period, the auditorium and the elevator would not be available for use. During normal hours of operations, visitors with mobility issues would be directed to park on the public safety level, where service would be provided regardless of the department's location. Because the elevator would not be available for use during the stated time period, City Manager Matthews recommended that all city-sponsored meetings, including Council meetings, be relocated to an accessible location. Staff would explore alternate locations during the course of the week and report back to the City Council on March 20th.
