Montgomery College Neighbors Advisory Committee

The Montgomery County Advisory Committee is composed of nine to eleven residents that live in the North Takoma Neighborhood, near the Montgomery College campus. The Committee is advisory to the Council. The mission of this Committee is:

•  Be familiar with the plans and development proposals related to the expansion of the Takoma Park campus of Montgomery College.

•  Identify, as early as possible in the planning process, the effects of those plans and proposals on the North Takoma Community.

•  Make recommendations as to ways the College may meet its needs while reducing and mitigating development impacts on the comfort, character and residential environment of the North Takoma community.
