Health Services Impact Committee

Currently the Health Services Impact Committee is conducting focus group discussions and an electronic survey to access the medical needs of the residents of Takoma Park. Therefore, the meeting planned for Wednesday, May 7th, has been canceled. The next Health Services Impact Committee meeting will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2008, from 7: 00 p.m. to 9: 00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Hydrangea Room that is located on the 2nd floor of the Community Center, located at 7500 Maple Avenue Takoma Park, Maryland.

The mission of the Takoma Park Health Services Impact Committee (HSIC) includes:

• Assess present and emerging community healthcare needs in Takoma Park.
• Inventory and review present services offered by Washington Adventist Hospital (WAH) and other providers in Takoma Park and nearby areas.
• Evaluate the impact of Washington Adventist Hospital’s relocation on the community.
• Make recommendations related to healthcare needs and services of the Takoma Park community to the City Council.
