About Fred Schultz
Although originally from Baltimore, Fred Schultz has lived in Takoma Park since 1986 and has served on the City Council since 2009.
Fred has worked as a community development planner for the City of Baltimore and as an Economic Development professional for Arlington County (VA) where he managed the County's public-private partnerships and its small business policies. Later he worked in the banking industry as a commercial loan officer for small to medium sized businesses in the Washington-Baltimore region. Currently he owns Frederick Schultz & Associates, LLC helping businesses obtain financing and assisting banks with loan packaging and servicing.
Fred earned his bachelor’s degree in political science in 1965 from Duke University and his master's in city and regional planning from Cornell University in 1967. He and his wife Nancy have 10 grandchildren ranging from under 1 to 21. Being from Baltimore, he has a special devotion to the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens.
